Career Prospects
Higher Art & Design can be used as part of a group of Highers needed to gain entry to University or College. It is an essential requirement for any student who intends applying for Art school. Higher Art & Design is the preferred qualification for a variety of design orientated courses including interior design, graphic design, photography etc.
Most Art & Design courses expect a prospective student to submit a folio of work which, combined with the required academic qualifications and an interview, are the deciding factors for entry to any course. Higher Art & Design can lead to further study at Advanced Higher in S6. This is particularly useful for the compilation of folio work for college.
